WWW Wednesday – 5th May 2021

Hello and welcome to my first WWW Wednesday post of May this year. In April I managed to read nine (and a half) books which felt a bit disappointing to me, but my health got in the way. I’m already onto my third book so far this month because I’ve been crocheting a lot and listening to audiobooks as well as reading some physical books when I haven’t had my hook in my hand! This has tipped me over my halfway point on my Good Reads challenge, taking me to 51 finished books, and I’m really pleased about it.

My May TBR has several books on that I’m yet to pick up, but at the same time, I have no regrets about picking up what I’ve ended up with so far, and I’ll be continuing with the others on my list as well as others, if I can keep going at this pace.

WWW Wednesday as always (last week here) is all about looking at the recent reading habits with three simple questions:

  • What have you recently finished reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What are you planning on reading next?

What have you recently finished reading?
As I said above, so far this month I’ve read two audiobooks. They’re both rereads; after finishing The Crown of Gilded Bones, I was absolutely devastated, and needed to submerge myself back into the world immediately! So I listened to From Blood and Ash and went straight onto A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire, and promptly went back onto book three all over again.

I have a feeling that From Blood and Ash is 2021’s A Court of Thorns and Roses, as in, I’m going to obsessively read it again and again and again and…

What are you currently reading?
As mentioned above, I’m currently reading The Crown of Gilded Bones again. I’m also reading Sunkissed, which I’m on a blog tour for at the end of this week, and War and Peace, which I’m reading in weekly sections with some of the fellow book bloggers from The Write Read’s gang. A total mix of books which are all balancing each other out!

What are you planning on reading next?
The next book on my TBR is Victoria’s War, which I read and reviewed last year, but I’m going to be listening to the audiobook version after the author asked me to, which has made me feel very special! As for physical books, I’m going to be working through some of my ARCs on my tablet because I know my husband has got me a new one for my upcoming birthday, and I’m hoping to finish the ones I have on there before the swap happens!

Well there we go, short and sweet this week. I’ll be back with more posts every day, so do stop by again.

  1. I just love it when you love a book so much that you have to read it again instantly. I am going to put that series on my list for June 100%!
