Life In Books Book Tag

Hello hello and welcome or welcome back to my little corner of the internet! Today I’m doing another book tag, the Life In Books Book Tag. I took the prompts from one of my fellow Write Reads gang, LousBookStuff, and you can find her answers to the prompts here. I haven’t seen this one before, and I always get excited when there’s a new tag to be found!

Neither Lou or the person she took the tag from knew who created this tag so couldn’t credit them, and so neither can I. If anyone does know, please shout so I can add credit.

Count Your Age Along The Bookshelf – What Book Is It?

City of Lost Souls – Review here

Name A Book Set In Your City / Country

There are so many books set in Brighton, a lot of them very famous! But I’m going to go with one of my more recent reads, The Boyband Murder Mystery, which has the narrating character at university in Brighton (which makes me want more details, because there’s two universities in the city and….).

Name A Book That Represents A Destination You Would Like To Travel To

I could pick so many books but I’m going to go with Tunnel of Bones. In this book Cassidy Blake travels to Paris with her family (and ghost best friend), which I was planning on doing for my 30th birthday this year until Covid came along and ruined everything!

Name Your Favourite Childhood Book

I’ve talked before about some of my favourite childhood reads, and the first one that comes to mind is Heidi. I used to read this trilogy every time I was away on holiday, it became a routine that I absolutely loved falling into.

Name A Book That Is Your Favourite Colour

My favourite colour is purple, and I have a beautiful rainbow set of The Mortal Instruments. My copy of City of Bones, the first in the series, is purple.

Which Book Do You Have The Fondest Memories Of?

Oooh tough one. Fondest memories looking back, I’d say the Wicca / Sweep series by Cate Tirenan that I absolutely adored when I was a teenager and read on repeat with my friends!
Fondest recent memories, I’m going with A Court of Mist and Fury, the second book in ACOTAR. There’s so many quotes from that book that I’ve stuck away like post it notes on the inside of my skull. The series really got me through last year with Covid, and this book in particular really supported me during a difficult time. The journey through her trauma that Feyre undertakes resonated me on a personal level, and always will.

Which Book Did You Have The Most Difficulty Reading?

I must admit that if I struggle too much getting into a book, I stop reading. Life is too short to read a book you can’t get into. The one that I really couldn’t stand and was so pleased to give up on The Grapes of Wrath. Seriously. I do not understand how anyone pushes through that book!

Which Book In Your TBR Pile Will Give You The Biggest Accomplishment When You Finish It?

I think when I tackle my TBR at all it will feel like an accomplishment! One of the books I’m desperate to read and need to get around to is The Priory of the Orange Tree. It’s a book I’m so excited for and have on my shelf as well as on Audible and I will get around to doing it!

Well that’s it, that’s the tag, thank you for stopping by and please come back again soon.
