Hello hello and welcome or welcome back to my little bookish corner of the internet! Wednesday is here again, and there’s only eight days left in the month just to top it off… How has this month slipped out from underneath my finger tips?
Last week, I said life was up in the air, and, well, I’m still grabbing onto balloons to try and keep it grounded. There’s been a lot of paperwork going on this end, hospital appoitments, a lot of stress, and a lot of emotion, all of which has led to me needing to sleep a lot. Having Addison’s Disease on top of everything else means that any stresses crashes my system, and how much every little thing takes energy out of me. It’s a really difficult condition to deal with, and one that isn’t very well understood, even by professionals. If you want to learn a bit more about this rare disease, because I’m always keen to raise awareness, you can read some about it here.
Back to books.
WWW Wednesday last week, I had a lot of books on the go. I’ve been feeling really indecisive when it comes to what I’m reading, and struggling to get stuck into something. It’s almost been a bit of a relief to have finished a couple of books since then, just to be completely sure I’m not losing my edge!
As always, WWW Wednesday is about looking at your recent reading habits with three simple questions:
- What have you recently finished reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What are you planning on reading next?
What have you recently finished reading?
From my list last week, I’ve finished a couple of books, but my most recently finished read has been The Near Witch. I ended up switching to the audiobook format as my eyes have been giving me a lot of grief this week, and I absolutely loved the book. I found it instantly engaging, and one of those that really sucked you in from the very start. It was easy to fall in love with the characters of Lexi and Cole, and I can’t wait to share my thoughts fully soon.
What are you currently reading?
Although I’ve finished a few from last week, I’ve still got multiple books going (I know, I know…), which I’m really trying to buckle down and finish reading. It’s been difficult between my mind wandering all over the place and being knackered, and I’ve picked up and put back down so many books this week. Here’s what I’ve currently got on the go:
- Curses – Fantasy – Audio
- The Ivies – YA Thriller – Audio
- Once Upon A Broken Heart – Fantasy – eARC
- Incendiary – Fantasy – Hardback
- A Srudy in Charlotte – Crime Fiction – Paperback
What are you planning on reading next?
I’m starting to get ready for October’s blog tours! As always I’m feeling really lucky with the books – physical and ebooks – that have been sent my way, and there are some delightfully spooky tours coming up next month. There’s also just some damn good books! I’ll be starting with The Watchers which was kindly sent to me by Head of Zeus, and sounds terrificly terrifying!
Thanks for stopping by this lovely Wednesday. New posts go up every day, ranging from reviews to interviews, and whatever else I end up writing about! Hope to see you again soon. x
