WWW Wednesday – 6th October 2021

Hello hello and welcome or welcome back to my little bookish corner of the internet. It’s October, the wind is blowing outside and the leaves are leaving the trees. It’s perfect book reading weather, and I’m making the most of it. However I am two weeks worth of antibiotics for an infection which hasn’t shifted by itself, so I’m feeling a bit pitiful and eating a lot of ice cream to help with the glass in my throat and the swollen glands.

WWW Wednesday is about looking at reading habits with some basic questions:

  • What have you recently finished reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What are you planning on reading next?

What have you recently finished reading?
My most recently finished read has been Once Upon A Broken Heart. I was sent this book as an ARC from NetGalley but had some problems with the format of it, so I did preorder it because I fell absolutely in love with what I read of the book (and the cover!), and I’m so glad I did. It will easily be one of my top reads this month. I gave it four stars on Good Reads and it was a very close five.

What are you currently reading?
I’ve got two audiobooks on the go at the moment, True Crime Story, and In the Ravenous Dark. Two very different choices, and both of which I’m enjoying for different reasons!
I only finished Once Upon A Broken Heart yesterday so I haven’t decided on a physical book yet, but that’s what today is for. I’m looking forward to having a look through my October TBR to make a decision.

What are you planning on reading next?
I’m still without internet properly (this is currently being typed using a phone as a hot spot!) so I’m not able to download anything to my Kindle or Audible that isn’t already there. I’m hoping I can find something in the many shelves of books I have to enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by this Wednesday, please come back for another post again soon, hopefully fuelled by an actual internet connection!

  1. Hope you don’t run out of books!! I hate it when NetGalley books have formatting problems; I can sometimes get around it by reading them on the awful Shelf app on my tablet, e.g. the one that came out tiny and sideways on my Kindle! I’ve finished Anne Tyler’s “The Beginner’s Goodbye” today and not sure what I will pick up next as I have a big challenge I’ve set myself but need to concentrate on other stuff, too!

  2. OMG my signed special edition of Once Upon a Broken Heart that I preordered back in like March just arrived and I can’t wait to read it. Stephanie Garber is one of my forever favorite authors so I just know I’ll love it. Plus, I can’t wait to read more about Jacks hehe.
