Hello hello and welcome or welcome back to my little bookish corner of the internet. It’s Wednesday again, we’ve made it through another week, and that makes it time for WWW Wednesday.
My health is still in the dip, so I haven’t managed as much reading but I’m hoping to try and get a bit more reading done over the next week while I try and get back to my level of normal. I don’t even feel well enough for audiobooks at the moment, which really shows where I’m at.
WWW Wednesday is about tracking recent reading habits with three simple questions:
- What have you recently finished reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What are you planning on reading next?
What have you recently finished reading?
My most recent finished read was True Crime Story. This book surprised me in several ways, and certainly kept me guessing. In fact, it was so convincing as a work of crime fiction that I admit to actually double checking it was fiction, which I imagine is very much the goal the author was going for. It worked brilliantly well, and it worked especially well as an audiobook with multiple performers.
What are you currently reading?
As always, I’ve got a couple of things on the go at the moment. I’m listening to F.O.X.E.S, book three of S.T.A.G.S, following on from book two, D.O.G.S, and of course I’m enjoying it just as much as the previous ones!
I’m currently reading Jade Fire Gold as an ebook when I can focus (read my interview with the author here), and my physical book is The Babysitters Coven. Three very different books and they’ve all got their place in my world at the moment.
What are you planning on reading next?
Well, I now have internet again, thankfully, but now it’s time for us to start packing for our soon-ish move, and books are some of the first things to be boxed as a) there’s so many of them, and b) they fit nicely into pallets we can stack in the corner. Mainly A. I’ve stocked my book trolley full of unread books to keep out and I have my Kindle and Audible. I’m still holding off putting any set pressures on myself with how unwell I am.

I’m so intrigued by all the books with acronyms as the titles. I haven’t heard of those so I’ll have to look them up! I’m also really curious what you’ll think of Jade Fire Gold. I’ve been reading phenomenal things about that series lately.
