Hello hello and welcome or welcome back to my little bookish corner of the internet. And welcome to November! If you are so inclined, take down the pumpkins (remember hedgehogs can be poisoned by them!) and deck the halls. Or, if you’re like me, make the most of the rest of Autumn; I’m not quite ready for Winter to start just yet.
You might have seen yesterday that I reached the 500 blog post benchmark, which I’m really proud of, and now I’m looking forward to the next 500! I’m also at 200+ days with posts in a row, and I’m determined to make it to a whole year, despite the chaos that this month is absolutely bringing. I’m trying to get as much done as I can in this pretend wave of calm while I prepare for things to get manic.
As always WWW Wednesday is about looking at recent reading habits with three simple questions:
- What have you recently finished reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What are you planning on reading next?

What have you recently finished reading?
My most recent finished read was The Bewitching of Aveline Jones. I read the first book, The Haunting of Aveline Jones, back in July, and read this second book in one day. I love a good middle grade read, and Phil Hickes has written books that manage to be witty, clever and creepy, regardless of your age!
What are you currently reading?
I’ve got three books on the go at the moment – I know, shocker. My audio book at the moment is The Sisters Grimm, which I’m half way through and currently have mixed opinios about but I’m absolutely going to finish to see how it winds up.
Then I’ve got two ARCs. My physical ARC is Sisters of the Lost Marsh, which publishes tomorrow! I read half of this in one sitting on a night with bad insomnia, and it’s absolutely exquisite. I can’t wait to review it. My eARC is Skin of the Sea, which I’m on the blog tour for this week. I’ve only got a little bit more to go!
What are you planning on reading next?
My next audiobook is either going to be T.I.G.E.R.S or A Shadow in the Ember. Because our housing situation is a bit rocky right now, I’m tempted to keep some long chunky reads ready on my phone in case there’s any issues with internet, so I’ll decide that when I have a bit more news.
I’m planning on starting For Better or Cursed, the sequel to The Babysitters Coven next when it comes to physical books. As for ARCs, I’m on a blog tour later in the month for the new Karen M. McManus book, You’ll Be The Death Of Me, and I can’t WAIT!

So there’s my week! Thanks for stopping by, have a happy Wednesday, and stay safe. x

I don’t know about any of the books you mentioned, so I hope you LOVE the ones you’re reading and about to read. It’s fun to see your updates like this 🙂
