November 2021 Wrap Up

Hello hello and welcome or welcome back to my little bookish corner of the internet. It’s been one of the most intense months of my life, and frankly I’m impressed I managed to read a single book. I’ve retreated into myself a little bit, and audio books have been my sanctuary, as the amount of stress we’re all under right now has been having a major impact on my health.

I’ve also found myself picking some crochet back up. I’m half way through the second of the same pattern right now, because it’s repetative enough that I can do it without much thought, which is exactly what I need. Add into that the fact it results in a beautiful looking scarf, and there’s nothing to lose really. I can only manage small burst with my hands and eyes, but it’s relaxing when I can do it, and even just taking it out with me when I need to leave the house feels a bit like having a safety blanket.

Amid the chaos of this month there has also been kindness, and I’ve been lucky to have the friends I have, both online and in real life, who have reached out to support us in many ways. Many of you, faithful readers, have been part of that network, and please know I’m forever grateful for everything, whether it was a donation or a few clicks on my blog – everything has meant the world.

Now, back to books! Here’s how I got on in November.

So there we are. The penultimate month of the year done and dusted with, with Midnight in Everwood being book number 145 of the year. I’ll be writing more about my book total at the end of this month, but I’m pleasantly surprised that I’ll likely be crossing the 150 mark unless something goes horribly wrong. I was aiming for 100 books when I started out this year, so to be at this point feels like a major win.

Thanks for stopping by, and come back again soon!
