Hello hello, and welcome or welcome back to my little bookish corner of the internet. It’s the last day of November, and it happens to be a Wednesday, so let’s revisit WWW Wednesday.
WWW Wednesday is a book blogging tool where we look at recent reading habits by asking three simple questions:
- What have you recently finished reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What are you planning on reading next?

What have you recently finished reading?
My most recently finished read was When Women Ruled the World. This historical non-fiction book is one I have wanted to read for a while, and I finally got around to listening to it on Audible during the chaos of moving. As I’m disabled, I was mostly staying very much out of the way and letting my saint of a husband work single handedly. He’s been brilliant, I honestly can’t praise him enough. When I wasn’t writing and finishing off my NaNoWriMo, I was enjoying my book with a very large coffee on Monday, and I finished listening to it yesterday curled up under my fluffy blanket. Review upcoming!
What are you currently reading?
Far too long ago now, I started reading The Chronicles of St Mary’s series, starting with Just One Damned Thing After Another. I always intended to carry on with the series but, as always, books just kept popping up, and it fell to one side. Having finished When Women Ruled the World, I was craving a bit of history still but also a sharp bit of humor that St Mary’s has to offer. Immediately swept right back in, all I can think is of the time wasted before reading the second book, A Symphony of Echoes. I’m halfway through and loving it.
What are you planning on reading next?
As we’ve only just moved into our new home, most of my books are still packed up, so I only have access to a couple of physical books and my Kindle, along with my phone for Audible. My plans may change, but at the moment, I’m planning on reading Big Bad Me in physical, and One Dark Window as my Audible book.

Thanks for stopping by to see off November with me. I’ve got posts upcoming on Friday and Sunday, then on Monday a very special Christmas present guide post!

I really enjoyed When Women Ruled the World. I really like Cooney’s writing and have enjoyed all three of her books.
