Hello hello and welcome or welcome back to my little bookish corner of the internet. It’s the first day of February! We got through January, despite it being at least six months long, and we’re into the second month of the year. How are we all doing?
Today I’m sharing my WWW Wednesday post. This is a way of looking at recent reading habits with three simple questions:
- What have you recently finished reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What are you planning on reading next?

What have you recently finished reading?
My most recently finished read was One Dark Window. This was absolutely a five star read but I do have a confession. I put off finishing this book for almost a month. I didn’t want it to be over! I knew the ending was going to make me cry so I held off and then finally managed to give myself a bit of a shake. The ending was well worth waiting for, and like I say, this was a five star read. But it’s not one to go into if you want to remain emotionally intact.
I’m already looking forward to the sequel destroying me later this year.
What are you currently reading?
As nobody familiar with my page will be surprised to hear, I currently have multiple books on the go. Even for me, it’s a lot at the moment…. Are you ready?
- From Blood and Ash – Reread / buddy read, ebook
- Raptured By Eternity – ebook
- Godkiller – audiobook
- The Cloisters – physical
- Daughter of Darkness – reread, audio
- Seven Faceless Saints – eARC
- The Royal Art of Poison – audio
When my brain is misbehaving – as it is at the moment – I can be really indecisive with what I’m reading, and need something different for every mood I’m in. It does frustrate me, but at the same time, I try and look on the positive and admire the skill that I have to have so many books on the go and not confuse them. That’s what I’m telling myself, anyway!
What are you planning on reading next?
One of my goals this year was to work my way through more of my physical TBR. This in itself has morphed into wanting to work through my TBR full stop, so I’ll be making an effort to read more of what I already own. So far I’m doing okay with the balance of new books vs already owned books, so if I can keep that up, I’ll be happy. I haven’t decided exactly what I’ll be picking up next, but I do have some ARCs to work through as well. Busy busy!

Thanks for stopping by today for this post. With me being somewhat indecisive at the moment, feel free to drop a suggestion for my next read in the comments – I always love recommendations!
