How startlingly beautiful is this cover? I'm halfway through this book that rewrites fairy tales in the most twisted of ways and I'm absolutely loving it. The artwork is simply gorgeous and the writing is stunning. Everything I need in a book right now.
This year's Wave of Light hits me harder than ever, as I'm going through our third miscarriage. I've cried enough to turn to sand but the tears keep coming. The pain never eases. I can't even find solace in my reading, and find myself just looking at the words, willing them into my brain. Sometimes, life just isn't bloody fair.
As many of you might know if you saw my recent review, I've fallen in love with The Old Kingdom. Sabriel was an utter wonder, transporting you from page to page, and I can't wait to see what Lireal brings. I've had people tell me it's their favourite of the series.... Opinions?
How beautiful is this cover? The dust cover of Once Upon A Broken Heart is stunning, but underneath it is this magic. I'm utterly in love. And the book was such a magical read to match! I can't wait to share my thoughts on it, and already need the sequel ✨
Last month, I read Spellslinger, which had been sent to me by @hotkeybooksya a little while ago, and LOVED it. It was a whole new world of magic to get lost in, and when I wrote my review earlier today, it was about how I couldn't wait for more from the characters and the universe.
