Hello hello and welcome or welcome back to my little bookish corner of the internet. Today I’m sharing my WWW Wednesday post, along with a little life update.
I’m struggling at the moment health wise, and much to my frustration have dropped down from several books ahead to simply being “on track” for my yearly reading goal. Maybe this doesn’t sound like a big deal. Maybe it really isn’t a big deal. But at the same time, it really is. So much of my time, motivation and energy goes into keeping my book numbers moving, and to keeping my blog an active place. When I get hit down like this, I find it hugely frustrating that the things I’m already limited to but manage to love are impacted.
We’re still homeless, and nothing has really changed, apart from more frustration. It would be easy to curl up and hide from it all, and frankly that’s what I feel like doing so much of the time. But at the same time, whenever I can keep fighting, I will, and there’s got to be a break in the clouds at some point.
Now back on topic.
WWW Wednesday is a way of tracking reading habits by asking three simple questions:
- What have you recently finished reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What are you planning on reading next?

What have you recently finished reading?
Yesterday after having not picked up a book for almost a week, I read Heartstopper Vol.: 2 in one sitting with a cup of tea. My son and I are both working our way through these and loving them. They’re sweet and easy to get lost in, which both of us need at the moment. Graphic novels are a great way to switch things up sometimes, and these collections are just adorable.
What are you currently reading?
As always, I’ve got a couple on the go:
- One For All
- Notes On An Execution
- A Shadow In The Ember
- Small Places
As I mentioned above, I’ve been struggling a bit reading, so I’m really hoping to finish a few of the above in the next couple of days.
What are you planning on reading next?
I need to finish A Shadow In The Ember so I can read A War of Two Queens, book four in the Blood and Ash series. The rest is all ARCs!
Here’s the reviews for the rest of the series while I’m building up to reading that:

Thanks for stopping by today. I’m approaching my year streak so things although things have been a bit rough, I’m really pleased to be heading in that direction.
